2023 Edward R. Pedersen Award

The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Mass is proud to announce that the 2023 Edward R. Pedersen Award for Service was presented to Christopher J. Grenier, owner of Christopher J. Grenier Painting & Finishing. The award was presented to him at the Annual Election & Installation of Officers & Directors which was held on Tuesday, June 20th at the Castle of the Knights in Chicopee.

From the beginning, when Chris joined the association, he was willing to provide his advice, guidance, and time. He dived right in by serving as a valuable member of the Home Show Committee which oversees the “Original” Western Mass Home & Garden Show which is held in March and produced by the association. His service to the HBRAWM was noticed by the leadership and he was elected to serve as an Associate Director on its Board of Directors. Later, he was elected to serve as the Secretary of the Board.

During the transition when the Home Builders Association was in negotiations to sell its headquarters on Cadwell Drive, Chris was instrumental in providing his professional painting services to complete necessary wall repairs to finalize the final sale of the building.

Chris has always been willing to provide the HBRAWM staff and Board of Directors his guidance to assist in helping the association maneuver through some difficult times the last few years. As a Home Show Committee member, he along with the rest of the committee, helped to ensure that the “Original” Western Mass Home Show has rebound after two tough years of cancellation due to the COVID pandemic.

The association congratulates Chris for being recognized to receive this prestigious award. The HBRA of Western Mass salutes him for all of his service to the association and to the residential construction industry. He epitomizes the essence of service and the HBRAWM is fortunate to be the lucky recipient of his generous service and leadership. The Edward R. Pedersen Award was named after former Executive Director, Edward R. Pedersen, and is bestowed annually to a member that show extra-ordinary efforts in service to the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Mass.
